The third island on our cruise is Koločep. We will spend somewhat over 1 hour at this, smallest settled island in the Elaphite Archipelago, famous for fishermen, coral and thick pine tree forest reaching the very sea. You will have the chance to explore a picture-postcard village set around little bay with sandy and pebbly beaches. Sandy beach is just few steps away from the boat stop. The island has seven churches dating back to the times of Croatian kings. You can still meet the local families who maintain traditional skills, producing carob brandy, Dalmatian prosciutto and goat cheese.
(Hint: The ancient Greeks called Koločep „kalos niktos“ – beautiful nights.)
